clutch help

i had just bought a clutch off of ebay it was a 94 rxl clutch with a starter gear on it i have 95 rxl without electric start should i just take the gear off i also have 95 polaris supersport440fan the throttle cable and came out of the lever when i put it back in it wants to idle rel high have to snap the lever a couple times to get it to idle down new to all this just my second season with a snowmobile

If your not planning on add'n e-start I would take the ring gear off and sell it... Your throttle cable sounds like it might have bent or untwisted when it popped off causing it to hang up or bind in the jacket...
