I have a 2006 ski-doo rengade 600 ho sdi stock engine wise, but i want to put a new track on,its a 1 and 3/4 paddle does anybody know if i have to do anything to the clutch or anything like that for it to work???

You shouldnt because the clutch should turn the new track the same as the old one. The only thing i would worry about is hitting the paddles on the tunnel or heat exchanger...

You may need to change the gearset if you go bigger on the track lug. What size was the origional? A lot of people forget about the added amount of surface area when they go to a longer lug or paddle. The rpm loss can be huge. Yeah, a clutch may hold it if your set up heavy, but it's only a short term fix. To get the most rip in the deep stuff, the gears are the best bet. My .02.

The original track lug height is 1.25'' and i want to go to a 1.75''. And do you think i will hit the heat exchanger or the tunnel???

you can even run a 2 inch track without clearance problems on the revs. As far as gearing the x models that came with that had the same gearing as the 1.25. If you go up in elevation you might think about gearing down. Y

The only reason I thought that is because when i bought studs, the salesman told me not to go any taller that 1.5" because then there may be clearance issues...
