Hello,

I am a new member, I recently purchased a Polaris Fusion 600 HO and put about 110 miles on it over the weekend it is a great sled, I used to have a 1997 Polaris Ultra SPX Indy. The only thing is at the end of my weekend I was getting ready to fire the sled up to load it up and the pull handle sperated from the rope on the recoil starter and went into the housing, now at this point it is the dealers problem being it is under mfg waranty. In all the years I have rode I have never seen this problem happen, is there an easy fix to prevent this from happening again? One would think they would put some sort of catch at the recoil case to prevent it from eating the rope... Also if anyone has this sled is there anything I need to know common maitnence ect..??

Thanks,
Adam

I own the same sled. the only piece of advice I have is to make sure you have all the recalls done. If I remember right I believe they where having the troutle(can't spell it) cable replaced, replace the air box, replace the gas tank, chain case cover needs a support bracket put on. I think there was one more but I can't remember what it was. maybe somone else can? also keep an eye on the oil line check valves where they supply the oil to the crank. I had one vibrate apart and luckly I caught it before I melted my crank bearings.

You can make another knot in the rope right next to your handle, then if the handle comes off again, the knot will stop it b4 in goes in. jus sayin
