Does anybody know if and how to change bushings in my primary clutch? I posted earlier in the year about my clutch sticking ('03 xc700) and was blaming it on the secondary. I have looked into it more and it is most likely the primary clutch that is binding due to a bad bushing as somebody had suggested. Thanks. Now I am looking at putting in a clutch kit but I think the problem will not go away with keeping the same bushing. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks again.

do you have a dealer close by ? i would recommend having them replace it so you know its installed correctly . and if they mess up the bushing its there baby . if you mess it up then you have to go get another . money welll spent at that point .

Thanks, you are probably right. I would rather have done it myself because sometimes I dont trust there competence any more than mine. But this one might be out of my league.

i hear what you are saying .......... i am a mechanic by trade and i felt it out of my realm of possibilty's . i had them rebuild both my clutch's all new parts and the rebuild only cost me 500.00 and that was new everything and trail clutched .
you should get by cheap with only bushings !
