So we are well into the “off” season even though the big day is only four short weeks away but I had to stir things up this evening a little bit.
Fire and ice was the story of my life this spring. We had so much fun in Montana it is just an unbelievable feeling to come out from the flatlands and be in mountains. Even more of a feeling to just be riding in them I would never have ever guessed the day I joined here that I would ever stand at over 11.2K with a friend shoulder to shoulder on top of some rock 1000 miles away. Thanks for that M_scott that whole trip is one I will never forget. It is something else to be anywhere with all you guys and gals what a group of friends here. Spending time staring out the windshield BSing with my cuz 1400 miles of road in front of us going from dark to light to dark again. I owe so much too a few families out of Utah and Washington there just isn't enough words to say how cool you all are. Of course there is always the Cali connection it amazes me how many people still don't believe it snows in California. All of this is stuff that you don’t find just anywhere it takes good more than good really great people. So you all know the ice part but I suppose by now you’re at the edge of your seat on the fire part. Well I took a trip to Hawaii this year with the girl I love and brought a ring with me so we could take in the sun and fun and I could ask her to marry me. We had a wonderful time and on Sunday April 20th under a full moon, give or take too many clouds, on a beach that’s in the pics I’m posting I asked her to marry me. To my lucky stars she said yes. We had quite the time for nine days Alaska has so much beauty all to its own like the mountains do with all that snow on them but Hawaii is second to none. We stayed on Kauai the whole time and did as much as possible from just sitting on the beach to touring the Na Pali coast to snorkeling this is one spring I will never forget. So pretty much that’s it in a nutshell right now we have decided to have a small little service just family on June 13th but the more important date for you all will be September 13th the weekend after our beloved hay days Kristin and I, after all she and the little guy need some clothes before the season starts, will have a kind of Hawaiian service planned and then a big sconny style Luau complete with a pig roast and everything else we can dream up relating to those wonderful Island we have a new found love for. Attire will be pretty much flip flops, shorts and your favorite Hawaiian shirt. Fish don’t worry about bringing a grass skirt I will have one there for you to wear with that hockey jersey! Ha ha
Well more to come on all of this the service and party will be in Stratford which is about ten miles away from Marshfield, Wisconsin of course. Hope to see many of you there.
Ok some Pics then:
