haydays 08 attendance?

Hey All,

It's about a month or so until the '08 Haydays event. Curious if any of you snowtrackers are planning on attending the show this season? Only seen it mentioned in passing on a couple posts, and thought I'd see who was going to be around.

I've got it pretty lucky, it's maybe a half-hour drive from my house, so I'll be going to the show saturday probably. I'm sure I'll be found at Major's on friday, my usual spot at the bar with the Captain (Capt Morgan, that is, LOL).

I'm slated for 2 daze of hay... The downfall for living so close to the equator is I'm gonna lose a day for driving there and back so I never make the fri nite shindig gig... anywho I really don't need anything for the upcome'n season but my want list is larger than life so I'll have my drool bucket packed and a few pennies stored... Howler I can meet ya outside of eclaire on the voyage up if ya change yer mind...

I always go, goota get the smell and sounds, oh yeah I also need a new chassis for the ZRT. I live about 30 miles north, too close to stay away. If anyone has a camper or tent, I have a couple acres of gopher mounds you can set-up on. Send me a PM.

LOL the inherent smell of race'n fuel, deep fried chez curds and musty cardboard boxes filled wit greasy parts all swallowed back with a couple handfulls of minnysoda hayfield dirt kinda sparks my senses a bit...

Welp see'n how everyone backed outta Haydays faster than JLowe skip'n the water at Bauers dam...Looks like I'm gonna pull the proverbial plug and stick it in the internet order forms and just buy my supplies on line...
With Wauconda and Boone county drags n swaps come'n up here shortly it should fill my race'n fuel glucose back to normal levels...

Mark, I'll be holding down my usual spot at the bar Friday night. Not sure if my wife will be coming along yet, or not. Doesn't sound like there will be a lot of members from here showing up, but this is one of those weekends I look forward to pretty much all year. Hope you can make it out that night. I am not yet sure if I will be able to get out to the show on saturday, or if I'll have to wait until sunday. got suckered into coaching my daughter's fall ice hockey team, and that might start that same saturday. Why noone checked the calendar before scheduling that, I don't understand!!!!!!!!!

BrookR, if you check out www.snobarons.com , you can see what it is. Big snowmobile show, including grass drags, HUGE swap meet, and a chance to get covered in dust, LOL.
Lots of booths from the sled manufacturers, accessory suppliers, etc. Held in a field north of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

All of the goodies I was look'n to lug around at Haydaze are being shipped in directly to Dooedco doorstep... Then as a added bonus all of the fuel money I would have spent for the 5 hr cruz has been pissed away on useless trinkets and bling o plenty...

Yes, there is the Thunderstruck movie premier that Friday as usual. Will be there around 6:00-ish I'm hoping, belive they say the film will start around 7:30. . . . I'll PM ya my cell #, I do not have yours anywhere that I recall. . .

Nice to hear from you. I'm not sure that I'll be able to make it out to the show saturday, but I'm going to try. sad to hear you guys sold, but happy to hear you're planning on checking out new ones! Good luck in your shopping if I don't get a chance to talk with you during the show.

Bummed that we left before you got there, Mark. I was looking forward to seeing you again. Like I said, we missed you by 15-20 minutes max.

There did not appear to be too many from this site on hand that friday night. Mary and I sat with ZLJeff for a while. Saw Pit Grunt across the bar, but he seemed to disappear before I noticed where he ended up. The turn out for the movie premier overall felt a lot less than it has been in the past couple years.

Got shut out on the door prizes. They had some technical difficulties getting the video to play at first. Did get to share some good laughs with Jeff, and the drinks were good, as usual.

I did not make it out to the Haydays show at all. Was busy with other things saturday around home and coaching hockey. Sunday AM woke up to rain, and just didn't feel like going out there later on when the weather did clear. First time in years that I've missed out.

How'd the rest of you that did go, do? Find any good deals on stuff you couldn't pass up?

I went, and it was insane as usual, i live about fifteen minutes north of there so it was no biggie, i went from haydays to my job interview on sturday, lol, so i was already pumped, the new cats are insane, top spot yet again in the market, most powerful sled on the market over 177 hp kitty comin to production, ARCTIC CAT BABY!!!
