I think mid December, I hope and pray, i'm getting my new sled this weekend.

It depends on where you are. Obviously, the season starts sooner the further north you go. It's always nice when the year starts early, like around Christmas. I noticed the lakes are starting to freeze in northwest WI as we drove through today. That's promising.

Definately a good sign seeing the lakes cover with ice, that equates to frozen ground, and snow sticking when it falls......

Hopefully we can ride in Eagle River on Dec 10th. Heard maybe a good storm on next Wed or Thur. But then again what the hell do the weather men know!!
