only if you get down to the hard pack if your in loose snow it won't do anything.

kinda undecided until i ride.
otherwise those picks will save you when needed. all sleds of mine got'm - minus my 136"

I like both...depends on what I am doing. I have picks on my formula 3 nice for trail riding. My 440 has an 1.5 on it, which still hooks up amazing untill you get on ice. I do alot of off trail riding tho so i like the lug a little more.

rode all day today with the 1.25 rip saw. I've always had picks on a stock track till now. I'm kinda undecided at this pt. with all the fresh pow it was nice to have but I think on hard pack trails I'd rather have the picks.

Trails were alot better than I thought they'd be. when I got done riding Friday night I thought they were done ill we got more snow but the grommers did an excelent job last night. I saw a ton of sleds today and trails were still holding up real good.

Rode the 1.25" ripsnort last year without studs hooks up perty decent plain jane in loosey goosey... But fer the icey hills, corners and oh snap! stops nothing beats 144 under the ole sphincter saddle... FYI dooedco info the SLP wearpads did seem to quiet the ripsnorter high speed growl a bit on the clipped every third whether or not they save the hyfax wear will be detirmined by the end of the season...
