    08 600 sdi cutting out

Hey guys, went out riding today and 5 miles into the trip my sled died. towed it to the road took the wifes sled back to get the truck when I got back my sled would fire and run fine. we loaded it back on the trailer and got back home tried it then it started up ran fine and quit again after a mile. you can pull the rope all you want, it will not fire electric start will also not fire. wait 20 25 minutes and it startes right up. I have heard on doo talk about a relay problem but mine is not having the same simtoms as every one else. any ideas?

I've also had tether switches give me trouble like that, but you have a different type of tether and i dont know that you can just un plug it to try it. Hope you get it cleared up.

    Dies out

You should try to find out if it is a fuel , or ignition problem. When it dies pull a plug wire and see if it has spark or not. If it does have spark then I would pull the plugs and see if the plugs are wet or dry. Then you have a better idea where to start testing.

there is spark, and plugs are new. I broke down and took it in to the dealer. It's under warranty but there are a couple of recalls on the sled one of which is a wireing harness. I guess only time will tell. Any other ideas let me know.

nothin yet. that place has a terrible service dep. they told me that after they fix whatever is wrong with it now I'll have to bring it back latter for the drive shaft recall on it. I'll probably get it back some time in May or June.

Well I got my sled back, the problem ended up being a bad D.E.S.S. post. so with that I got a brand new fuel pump all new wireing underneath the hood. they also did the recall work on the drive shaft, along with a full tank of gas. I was verry happy. I know alot of people who had problems with this dealership but I think they went above and beyond what they needed to do. they also gave it back in absolute show room condition. Now lets get some freggin snow!!!
