I really hope that they find the person/people involved in this. I've seen this particular owner on the trails in the northwoods many times while riding.
>>>Police look for snowmobile stolen from paralyzed man
The Post-Crescent
TOWN OF MENASHA — Police are looking for a trailer and two snowmobiles, including one that was modified slightly for use by a man paralyzed from the chest down.
The items were reported stolen during the weekend from 2340 American Drive.
Town police said the theft, valued at about $6,600, was reported early Monday afternoon and is believed to have occurred between 5 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday when the enclosed and locked trailer was parked outside the town’s utility district office.
The snowmobiles and trailer are owned by Jeffrey Roth, town water utility superintendent, who has been wheelchair-bound since falling from a tree stand during the 1998 bow deer hunting season.
“The whole thing is sad that he’s worked so hard and it’s challenge for him every day,” said Kristine Roth, his wife of 28 years. “It’s one of the few outdoor activities that he and I can do together.”
The trailer is described as a 14-foot black aluminum Loadmaster trailer with a V-nose and front and rear ramp doors with two snowmobiles inside.
The snowmobiles are a 2001 gray Arctic Cat, which had a rack to which Roth could attach his wheelchair when he rides, and a 1997 black Arctic Cat, with the name Kristy on the front windshield.
Anyone with information concerning the trailer or snowmobiles is asked to contact the Town of Menasha Police Department at 920-720-7109.
