According to the catalouges I have there is only one slide listed for your sled it is a style "13". The Dennis Kirk book has Blk, Blue, Purple, Red, and Graphite HP Blk avaliable.
I'm thinking they both will fit. Back when the "Extra 12" XLTs came out, i think they had some slide wear issues, which was helped with a narrower slide to let more snow get in through the windows for lube/cooling. Not 100% but i wouldn't worry about it too much. I bought one of those 91- 650s (carbed) brand new back in the day, things were simpler, cheaper and easier for the ordinary guy to work on. Boy them tripples sounded sweet!
Thanks Spike What, you say about that ethier one will work makes sense.
I will go with the narrower ones we do alot of lake runing were I ride. and sliders dont last.I dont mind changing them.
In fact I ran a set of grafites once on my RXL when It was brand new and I fried a track running high speed on a lake with verry little snow on it. ouch.
Lucky for me my dealer had suggested them for my sled as a replacment for the originals and coverd the cost of replacing the track. So now its stick with the cheap plastic sliders theyre alot cheaper than a track.
Snowbug. I would look into a set of Ice-Scratchers I have run them on my sled for many years. I do alot of river running here and also lakes with little to no snow on them. They are very simple to install and only cost around $40 a set. When you dont need them they stay totally out of the way. If I were to guess I got twice the millage with the scratchers then before I used them.
