Check fuel pump VAC line on crank case. Put hand VAC pump on it with a clear hose see if you can suck fuel from the pump VAC line. if it does Diaphram in fuel pump is gone.

The engine can suck fuel directy out of the pump into the crank case if this Diaphram is gone.

Could be just old fuel. I would put new plugs in it after it has been runing for a 1/2 hour just to ensure the plugs are not coat with oil.

this can happen on startup on a new piston as there is alot of assembly oil in the cylinder and on piston and it coats the sparkplugs and can cause fouling even if the plugs are new.

    thanks

I think your right I took the carb off and picked up the sled buy the skies with my backhoe and the gas ran out of the intake.I couldn't find my vac gauge until to night, but I think that is what it is. I'll let it dry out to night and test the pump but I'm sure that is what it is thanks a lot I'll keep you posted.

Just had the same problem on a 90 mach 1, replaced needle and seat problem solved. the floats were in the correct adjustment but gas was getting past the worn needle valve.
