Rode Eagle River trails - Good riding except right in town

I rode Saturday & Sunday & found the riding great & so did the riders staying at our motel. Yep I am a local but believe me I'm not smoking you on the riding.

The grade, Trail 13 right in town is thin right in town. But riding south it was loaded with south. So was going north out of town. Woods was great.

In Three Lakes it was thin on the cranberry march section just before you get into Three Lakes(22 mph winds on Thursday night helped that along) & right in town by the Winery. Heading south & west to Sugar Camp it was great. Those trails were loaded with snow.

Sunday took the Catfish Lake Loop trail(has drifting) to 10E to the grade, Trail 13 & headed out on 70W to 17 & then to 7 through the Paint Ball Field over to Pitlik's Resort of lunch. The trails were terrific with plenty of snow except for some road sections & crossings. From there we swung over toward beautiful downtown Sugar Camp coming out by the White Stag. Crossed the road by the old Burr Valley onto Sugar Camp Lake. Picked up 7/17 & headed back to Eagle River through where I used to ride as a kid a really long time ago. Ya I'm old! All snow covered. That goes for the Eagle River sections.

When we got onto 70 heading to Eagle River it was icy by the Lincoln Town Hall & the new condo development near the Super 8. That's it.

Just my opinion but I had a great time riding some great trails!

p.s TRAIL 13N - THE 2 1-WAY TRAILS NEAR E. BUCKATABON LAKE RD & MAETHWIG RD. 1 OF THE 1-WAYS IS GATED ON THE SOUTH & ON THE NORTH END IT IS PLOWED FOR LOGGING. DO NOT GO IN THERE. THE OTHER 1-WAY IS NOW A 2-WAY TRAIL

I made the trip to Eagle River Saturday for the day to go to the sno-x races with my son he races in them. Found the trails looked much better than the last weekend. town looked better but still ot much snow but enough. My mind was on the races but my mind wandered to look across the street by Trackside and the few sleds that came by on trail. Looked like the Days in had only a few trailers and the Bayside had a few but people if you wanna ride it looks good. I rode the weekend before and they have plenty of snow on them and some of the bare spots that I seen by the Sankeys and south of Three Lakes have a decent amount of snow on them now. Good to see Holly get in some riding she has had a long winter of giving us reports so its good to hear she is riding.

Really appreciate your good words. Riding tomorrow, Wednesday. Tom is off & his sister & brother inlaw are here. Brookes mom & dad are letting her skip school tomorrow if you can believe & we will ride.

How did your son do Saturday? His he racing in the next race?

Dustin finished third in 6-7 120 stock in final and he blew the motor in the champ 120 sled in practice. We will be going hopefully in 2 weeks. Heard a rumor that there might be alot of Pro factory drivers there cause of the ISOC off weekend and drivers wanting to stay in shape for Lake Geneva race. You guys have fun riding and enjoy
