There was SNOW overnight. Around 8:30-9 last night as I left the Bayside it was SNOWING. About 1/2 to an inch of what looks like Lake Effect Snow. Lake Superior had been completely frozen over so the Lake Effect had ceased. There must be some open water again to bring around the Lake Effect.

Trails are in poor shape in most places. SOME FAIR WAY OUT OF TOWN & AREAS UNDER COVER.

It is very cold. 4 below zero at 9:30am. 17 for a high today. Lots of sun.

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trail have frozen surface slush & wind blow. Catfish Lake look like a moon scape this morning. If you ride out there slow down. It will be slippery. THE ORANGE BARRELS ARE STILL OUT ON BOTH CATFISH & EAGLE. Stay by them as you ride. Some of the other lakes in the county no longer have markers on them so.....check with locals in that area to see the status of the lake trail.

Winter does continue in Eagle River.

My 4 stroke Ski-Doo's ski's & track are frozen to the patio at the Bayside Motor Lodge!
