    MI trail sticker

I went to buy my MI trail sticker on line, and it's $35 now for the year? I don't remember it being that much last year. I'm not looking to debate the cost, just asking if there is an increase or maybe a typo on the web site.

    thanks

$35.00 for 2009/2010 season. that is a $10.00 increase. 2011/2015 they will go up to $45.00. they are looking more ways to get funds. look up archives here and other web sites where it has been discussed. and or check sites that give links to state of Mi.

    I have to agree

all the times in U.P. the trails sucked and for a $10 increase it is not a deal or worth the effort. I know they get alot of traffic but it seemsWi takes better care of thier trails

    Thumbs up

I quit going to Mi when it got over 15 bucks, trails did not justify the money and i guess the state don't need the commerce. Wisconsin is also getting out of hand at 35 bucks, but at least the trails are well maintained, and if the dnr don't add anymore seasons for there imaginary deer overabundance.

Buy a regular registration permit. Won't matter after the CAP program is passed everyone will be paying between $35-$45 per year.

    Michigan trails

Oh, no! I hate to read that. Yes, some clubs are not so good but our club, The UP Thunder Riders in Watersmeet, MI, are a very active club and you will not find better maintained trails anywhere! Give us another chance!

I try to get by as cheap as I can and I am the one usually whining about everything is too high these days, but if you compare the registration or trail pass to some other things in our daily grind, it's really pretty cheap.

If you have kids, compare a day pass at an amusement park for each kid. (The kid would have more fun on the sled for the season)

If you have to have a driveway plowed, see if you can get someone to do that for $35 - $45 a season. Can't speak for MI but our trails in the Hayward/Cable WI area are groomed to damn near perfection for as long as I have been riding them.

The Season Pass cost about the same as tank and a half of fuel in your sled which only lasts 4-6 hours.

Or in my case...compare what is costs me to go out and swill Ice Cold Delicious for an evening at the local watering hole!!! Hell, some night's I'd be out of money in 2 or 3 hours and have to go home if I only took $50 bucks with.

Like I mentioned before, considering the condition of the trails that I have to ride...it's a cheap price to pay in my humble opinion.

I agree that the increase is not huge in the big picture of things, but do see the drawback for the person who only rides 1 or 2 times a year in the UP. I just hate seeing these fee increases because it never stops.

What real sucks is there are no improvments. Trails are as bad as ever. OH WE RIDE!!
