Warm temps have hit the Eagle River/Vilas County snow country. That along with the sun today has dropped the snow on the trails.

The best thing that could happen is for the sun to go undercover again, COLD to move in & Snow. The last looks to be coming around Wednesday.

At this point we are leaving the trails as they are to keep the base in place. Not good to groom when the snow is soft & rolling.

The log hauling continues on Trail 10/13 west of the Snowmobile Bridge. Either Friday, January 15th or Monday, January 18 hauling will begin on Mathwig Rd. The Trucks will be crossing over both Trail 10 & Trail 13. Won't be driving on either of the trails. Watch for truck hauling signs.

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trails are marked with orange reflective barrels. No surface slush as of this writing. Stay by them to assure you are safe. REMEMBER THAT IF THERE ARE NO MARKERS ON A LAKE OR YOUR MAP DOES NOT SHOW A TRAIL OVER A LAKE....IT IS NOT SAFE TO RIDE ON.

Derby feature race & tons of young riders on Sunday. Great fun!

Keep doing the SNOW DANCE & THINK COLD! Let's keep that sun under wraps too!

See ya on the trails!
