Finally went back to work, but wife reminded me the kids are off school the end of March, and we are taking them to a water park. So maybe mid March or early April may work. If not next year.

well I'm for sure out now I had to do some repairs on my trail sled. New clutch, skags and slides and a little shop time. Well after 6500 miles I can't really complain about it but it always sucks to spend that amount of cash.

I guess the other way to look at it is that it is the first year since I get my mountain sled that I'm actually ready for next year!

out of the pic for me but after further reveiw we should double down for next season! The thing that upsets me is not being able to spend time with the Lackie family witch is very important to me on a trip out west! enough said who knows maybe there will be good storms in march for an april trip. And boom goes the dynomite!

I'll have to see now, too. Rode in the Snow Pioneers fun run yesterday.

Well...long story short...somebody in front of me, that should have held up to warn of a caution area, didn't stop. This all happened about 10:30pm last night.

We were cruising over a few rollers about 70-80mph and came over about the 3 one, it wasn't a roller, it was about a 12-15ft drop off. I scrubbed off enought speed but still hit it at about 25-30mph, and with the brake locked did a lawn dart down the drop. I cleared the downhill side but hit the uphill side of the plowed snow from the side of the road.

On my landing my knees bent further than they can now. So they were toast.

My left arm hit with such force my wedding ring took a chunk of skin off the inside of my hand about half the size of a dime and my left arm hyper flexed and is really swollen today.

I banged my left shoulder on the headlight switch and have a bruise there. I also smacked my helmet on the handlebars and for about 30 seconds didn't what hemisphere I was in.

Then about midnight, we were breaking off into groups...some were going to stay at the Country Club and Eugene, Skyler and I were heading back to load up our sleds. We were sitting in the parking lot...let me say that again, the parking lot waiting and I was just about ready to get off my sled and WHAM....I get rear-ended from one of the guys.

Sends my sled about 3ft forward. Bent up my rear bumper and tore my rear mud flap.

Besides one guy who kept getting stuck in stupid places, running into fenches, some people riding stupid playing bumper cars and acting like 4 year olds and just general inconsiderate riding, I was OK for the most part.

I'm not going to say anything more about the "whys" that this all happened, but I will say that all I was drank was Diet Coke all day.

For as stiff and sore as I am today, I am not sure the knees would hold up to mountain riding.

I think a best bet might be to just plan one for next year.

Man, I KNEW Iowa riding was tough on equipment. Sorry to hear of the misadventures and lack of control from those people. I'm thinking that an arse kickin' may have been in order there.
