Have to rant about this, I can not stand when people trash freshly groomed trail that has not had time to set up. I'm talking about meeting the groomer on the trail and then jumping on the OPPOSITE side of the trail and trash the fresh trail and completely destroying what that operator had just layed down. I can understand if its super mogeled out and you want to ride the smooth stuff but when its not even bad on the side your riding on and then trash the good stuff.......%&&^((T%$^%(**(). I just had a case of it this morning , tryed to get out there before the traffic hit and walla two idiots went by and before they were even out of my sight they crossed over and started riding the new pack.
FYI, snow needs time to "freeze together" and make a trail that will last all day and more, if you ride it and break it up it is pointless to groom and clubs are basicly wasting diesel. I know its unavoidable in high traffic areas but here in S. WI weekday traffic is light and we normal can groom once in the middle of the week and they stay good till Sunday. So if you see a groomer out please avoid fresh trail if at possible, that way everyone can enjoy smooth trails and clubs wont go broke!
