    Sled hoists

OK people I am in the market for a lift for my sled. I was wondering if anyone has any info on any certain brand, good or bad. And anyone no where they are avaliable locally. ( Not a rear stand ). even a good shape used is possiable.

There have been a bunch of discussions, and a few sets of plans for the 'do-it-yourself-ers', to make a sled lift, posted on various forums over the years.

I don't have the ability or equipment to weld, but the home-built that I've seen look VERY comparable to the ones you can purchase retail. Seen sale prices range from $160-ish to over $200. Obviously, if a person can purchase the steel stock and cut/weld/assemble their own, there's a great opportunity to save serious $$.

I know a guy down here that builds a nice lift, he actually markets them, and sells them locally at all of are event, he also makes a super slick sled dolly, I will look up his number tonight & post it, shipping would not be an issue either & he likely would be at hay days this weekend as well.

These are great lifts and work great. I believe he is going to have a booth at Hay Days. I would opt for the elec. drill attachment.

I use the sled pro lift. Got them from Appleton Powersports. Some local welding shop around Appleton makes them. I have 2 for the vintage sleds and one for the newer sleds and the sons race sled. They are a dream and very sturdy and go plenty high. Even if you dont buy this kind they are all pretty much the same and are a great addition to working on the sled. I could not get buy with out one. No way
