I am still in the Market.....

Started this year looking at the 2up venture GT and things have changed and thinking of a 1 up. I see the prices for the Apex are pretty darn good but still way more than other sleds. I have also heard that 4 strokes may not be the way to go. I an a rider that two years ago sold polaris IQ turbo tourings and was pretty happy with that performance. Am not speed racer just like to tool along on the trails and once in a while gun it......Is the Apex to much of a sled for me? Should I consider a Rush or even a Shift IQ? Just looking for advice.

    Thanks

If you are thinking Yamy, the Vector with a 136 track is the sled I would suggest. It will get you there plenty fast and gets good gas mileage. Keep checking Yamy dealers. Prices should be coming down this late in the season. Check with Greg Johnson at www.johnsonsalesinc.com North of Madison on Hwy 51.
My buddy jumped ship from a XC to this sled. Then he broke it. Parked it to close to a tree.
He found a great deal on an Attack (APEX 136 track). He would like to go back to the 3 cyl.
Plans on buying a new '12 Vector if it has the power steering.

I've heard that the Ventures made a LOT of track noise, and were top heavy making them ill handling. My friend has a 2008 Vector and turned over 6000 miles on it this weekend without one problem, so far. He never had anything since the early 80s other then Polaris. This is his first Yamaha, and he likes it. That sled will go 10,000 miles easy! He did the math, and that'll be about $1500.00 in gas and oil savings above his 600 Polaris, plus at 10,000 miles, it'll still be worth something.

I am looking around for the best deal....I am in no hurry.....I will for sure be on a new sled by next winter. I will look at the Vector or the Apex......like the idea of the power steering....

I see the vector has the power steering for 2012

What are the advantages of the Apex? I am very tempted to pre order a 2012 and take advantage of the offers of $800 cash and a three year extended.
