Got a big trip planned for Friday, then it looks like we'll be stickin' a fork in the season....can't see getting enough snow again to last. I'll believe it when I see it though.

We've had a great season up til now, so I can't complain much. I gotta admit, after the cold snaps of negative temps, this first 50* day feels GREAT!!!!! It's maintenacne time now!

glad we went yesterday and put 180 miles on because we just took them out of the trailer to put them back in the pole barn and its slush under the snow

I got out for a ride in North-Central MN over the weekend. Put on 200 miles Friday and Saturday. Tried to go a little more Sunday AM, but the road crossings were bare of snow, and it was getting really sticky with the melting, which didn't really kick in until Sunday.

The Good: We saw groomers a LOT during our rides. Considering they usually groom mid-week where we were. We were fortunate enough to be the first ones to put tracks on the new surface a couple times.

Traffic levels were not as heavy as we've seen in the past. you could ride for long stretches without coming across any other traffic.

The Bad: There was still some trail areas that were being used for logging, and were plowed down pretty low, making for tough riding. Lots of choppy bumps.

Driving home sunday afternoon, we saw puddles on some of the trails. There were places that we rode across on Friday that were virtually bare of snow by Sunday. Not sure I think things are done for yet, but they really are going to need some fresh snowfall before I'd think about going back.

But there SHOULD be enough winter left that things will rebound, i'd think.
