98 ski-doo mxz-583 gas mileage

What is normal gas mileage for one of these? (MPG)?

Put 100 miles on it last Sunday and it took 9 gallons (11 MPG).

A friend with a 98 Polaris 500 only used 6 gallons (16 MPG).

Is 11 too low? Runs good. New plugs. No noticeable problems.

in general 11mpg is not horrible no experience with that model, however our vmax twins hover around 9-12 most of the time .

had a Formula Z with that 583 in it. Got around 10 miles a gallon, consistently. Buddy had a MX with a 470. He stopped for gas every other time that I did. I'd say if you are getting 11mpg and it runs good, don't mess with it.
