Alright there XCR...I resemble that remark!

Before I went to the drastic measure of the new registration, I followed the directions of getting the password issued many many times, although I never received the email with the link that Dooed spoke of. Hell, maybe the new system thought I was a terrorist trying to break in I tried so many times!

I also check my ISP's screened mail to make sure the emails weren't sitting in a junk folder. I sent my ISP a message asking if for some reason mail from the outnetwork.com was blocked on the mchsi.com server but I have not received a response from them. It never has been blocked before when I have corresponded with Bob or Gary.

I didn't post this thread because I was upset about it. I thought with the new diggs here at ST the management would want to know any quirks people where having so they could check to make sure the problem wasn't with the new format. This problem might very well be in my mail server. I just thought they would like to know.

As far as losing my status or old posts...I never really said anything very useful anyway!

I have double checked my email settings to make sure all spam blockers and screening is off. The only things I can think of is possibly the snowtracks mail server doesn't like the hyphen in my email address or the domain the password email is coming from is blocked by my provider.

Could someone that hasn't deleted the email that they got the password link tell me the email address that the email comes from so I can check with my provider, MediaCom, to make sure they do not have a block on that domain?

    Thanks,
    Match8, I mean Dirty Birch...I'm so cornfused!

I received my password e-mail from "gary@outnetwork.com' . The whole process was smooth. But I did have to remember which e-mail account I had specified when I signed up to the forum in the first place. If you possibly changed e-mails along the way, that could be a problem.

    Hey Tommy,

How are you? I went back into the old ST system and check my registered email address and is was the one I was trying. Still didn't work. As a long shot I also tried changing my email address in the old system to an address I have with no punctuation in it. It allowed me to change the email address in the old system but since the information had already been transfered the new system did not recognize the email change I made on the old system, I assume.

I am going to send an email to mediacom to make sure that outnetwork.com hasn't been blocked recently. I just corresponded with Gary, who was using that same email address, last week when I inquired as to when the system would be back up.

This really isn't that big of a deal. I just like digging to find out why sometimes. Anyway, I'm back in the playground now as a Dirty Birch!

Gosh, I got mine and signed in, and spent maybe 15 minutes once I found that the forum was back up and running. Not sure why it went so well for me, and others have experienced frustration.

Match/Brich. it's good to have ya here no matter what you're calling yourself. It's nice to see a lot of the old names starting to show up again. I'm sure there will be a few that we'll need to re-learn.
