Is there any reason this wont work?

Hey guys i was driving around today and i see a guy tugging his sled off his pick up and it got me to thinking about my sled, its heavy and hard to pull and my back is messed up, and im just tired of yanking on it. So since they dont make a reverse kit for the Cats with Diamond Drive, i was wondering if i could put the Polaris Electronic Reverse or the Rotax Electronic Reverse kit onto my 04 ZR 900. See i was thinking you could buy it as a kit and put it onto the older Doo's and Poo's like 01/02 years that didnt have RER or PERC. So i was figuring if you can do it to those years that wasnt set up for that reverse, why couldnt i put it onto my sled that isnt set up?? do i sound crazy or does anyone think it can be done?

R u any good with wires n stuff? I'm thinkin there's more to it than just mounting a button on the handlebars that says rer! just kiddin! no I'm not, I really dont think it would be easy.

for that matter wrap a rope on the clutch and start the motor backwards sorry got to give ya a hard time, honestly i don't think it will work but am no expert on the diamond drive technology.

the sleds that have rer have a special helix for going in reverse

If I had the means to tackle an experiment like this, I do believe it would be on a sled I really didn't care a whole lot about. But hey, that's just me. I say go for it and let us know how it works for ya.

well i have some researching to do i guess, but i found kits on ebay and they all have new CDI boxes, so if thats the case then i dont believe i would be able to do it

secondary, mpem box, stator, wiring, button, these are what are needed if you would already have a doo. So I'd say impossible to doo.

Better idea, buy new sled with reverse, problem solved. except maybe a payment. j/k lol No expert on this subject, sorry can't help. Call a dealer and ask them?
