dose anyone know if the The Pink Store on M-33 Rose City sells gas? we learned the hard way that mckinley didn't have any. don't count on that place.

Yes the pink store has gas and is almost always available.

you can also get gas in mio via several stations and mckinley is a joke the owner doesn't want to put the time in. You can stop at the bar and ask and you might just happen to find someone with some gas for you

Do ya ride up there often? or cabins about 2 miles from the pink store?

Can you find out who the gas thieves are??? Cisco bar had $15,000 in gas stollen since last year. Bent's camp quit selling gas, $6000 stollen last year.
Nordine's plaza in watersmeet, numerous gas run offs. Just last fri. night,
8 sleds drove up to Cisco bar tried to drive off with $291.00 in gas not
paid for, owner ran out and literally grabbed the last guy and force him to
pay. What is wrong with these people, really gives sledders a BAD name in
this area. There aren't too many places to buy gas up there, so it won't be
long before they all quit selling it. This isn't just nickel and dime theft, this
is a felony, it's unbelievable what some people will do, they all drive around in
$10,000 sleds with matching $1000 suits and can't pay for $30 in gas.
MAKES ME SICK, I WOULD LOVE TO CATCH ONE IN THE ACT.....

this is really too bad.. I hope the local bussiness would keep selling gas and maybe goto a pre-pay solution..

Well I have ridden out of the Watersmeet area for several years and seen the type of guys your talking about .

Well I know do here in my home area it is getting bad too . A lot of gas stations are going to the pre pay just for sledders if paying cash . Slows down me but I don't have a problem with it if helps them out .

So I don't understand why the drive offs . We should be trying to better our names as snowmobilers .

should be pre-pay definetly thats just rediculous.

Mckinely isn't open for gas for other reasons i won't mention.

we ride there quite a bit. we r thinking about riding there next weekend. we went 2 weeks ago. it is the closests trails system to my house

with places like cisco bar and bents camp - they rely on honesty at the pumps. and it's now obvious that is good enough anymore. man that is some big hits on them. and don't blame them for shutting it down. lets just hope when the thief does run out, he is WAY out in middle of no where.

have to put my dads crank in and then the motor then we will hopefully be up this coming weekend. Got to check my sled over it was acting up last night hopefully nothing serious though.

How are the trails over there? As bad as the Gaylord area? We usually shoot over the bridge and ride. But it's pretty pricey just to get there. But well worth it. But Kinda looking for a place to ride locally beisdes the back roads that lead to Cliff's Bar when not up there.
