    Thumbs up chain case

    i'm trying to remove chain case i have the front off and all gears off i can slide jack shaft off but i can only get it part of the way off the cog shaft. also how to i get cogs off took of speedo housing how do idrop that down.

    there should be a lock collar on speedo side of jackshaft that is locked in with a small allen bolt or torx bolt. loosen that and u should be able to slide bearing off might take some convincing then slide cog toward speedo until it clears chaincase and lower chain case side til it clears tunnel and pull out. this will then probly make it easier to pull case out the rest of the way. if bearing is seized on shaft might be able to undo carriage bolts that hold beaing and speedo in place and pull it thru that way.

    is there a collar or something holding the cogs on the speedo side i can't get it over.this thing is giving me a really hard time

    there usually is spot on backside of bearing that is a collar that has a allen screw or torx that screws down to cog shaft. last time i did it the bearing was seized on cog shaft and i had to unbolt the triangle shaped holder that the bearing sits in should be 3 bolts from inside tunnel. then i was able to have enuff room to put a puller around the bearing to force it off the shaft.
