removing chain case

i'm removing chain case and can't get it off cog shaft removed bolts from speedo side. it slides of until flush with shaft then won't go any further.do i have to remove clip and bearing to get it off top comes out fine.any help would be greatly appretiated.

Your talking about jack shaft that the drive cogs are on right ? If so should just slide put of that bearing of the chain case . You have to try to keep the shaft level when pulling it out of bearing . If it is free to move the shaft try to pull the chain case off the shaft .
