I have tested both new motors on the trails. The 600 e-tec is great lots of power and a great power band eqaul to the 800 almost. I think the etec is the way to go. I also tested the 1200 four stroker. It was ok ,But the weight thing is still there. The front end is heavy and the motor braking is hard on. The more I rode it the more I liked it. The weight is the only problem. I do not think I will get one the first year just to see how they hold up. Give me the 500ss motor,Its fast and just about bullet prof. With the gas deal 600 E-tec is here for the future. Price is about 1800 more. You can buy a lot of gas for that!!!!

I do have pics if you want I could put them up. The Pit Grunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard the E-tec is awsome, but during the break-in period it really likes the oil. Ski doo is leaps and bounds ahead.

My dealer fired up the 600 e-tech right inside the showroom, no smoke I still went with the 08 instead. I'm not a big fan of buying the first year of a new model, and i'm not at all unhappy with my choice either.

The concern I have with the Etec...aside from paying $9500 for a 600, is that the oil they require is a bit pricey....I think around $60/gallon.

The fact that Doo is putting the new 4 toker in just about every model they make, tells me they're probably not too worried about first year engine woes.

I'm hoping to be on a 4Tec gade for next year, but we'll see.

Anyone want to buy 2-3 used Revs?
