    Angry Riding on Closed Trails

I was just reading a thread on another snow site. Some clown in northern IL was bragging about riding on closed trails this weekend, and "getting away with it". He stated that "no one saw him, so nothing happened." (his words) That attitude just burns me!!! He'll be one next year whining when those landowners won't allow the trail to go across their land. When will people learn to respect the way the system works???? I just don't get it!

OK, I'm done. I just had to vent a little

Yep, trail systems keep getting shorter from clowns like that. And I would bet big bucks that he is one of those guys with a can on his sled too.

I have a trail across the road from me and I can't believe all the piped sleds I still here.

piped sleds or not, it's that kind of mentality mentioned above that will shut trails down for the rest of us. 1fastmxz - did you chime in to let him know how he is screwing things up for the good sleders in this sport? don't get me wrong on the pipes. just don't think is a issue as what was first said. RESPECT will get you a long way down the trail!

Pipes don't make sleds loud. It's what is at the end of it that does. No matter what, there is and always will be people out there working on ruining something for the honest people.

as a new member of my local club I have been working on expanding our trail system. The one comment from land owners I hear the most "I know 99.9% of snowmobilers are polite and respectful its the one that won't allow me to open my fields to you". I have one convinced otherwise, I hope next year I don't have to eat my words.
