    When was my sled made????

The sled chassis is older than the engine some kind of frankenstein piece of crap but I can't figure out what year the damn engine is I am planning on overhauling it but can't buy nothing until I am sure what year it is oh well.

    dealers know

I had a similar problem when I was looking to buy a sled once. Take that motor # you have and call your local dealer. They will be able to tell you what year that motor was. If you are going to have it worked on, they should be eager to help you so they can sell you parts and their services too!!

If you take the chassis # too, they can tell you if the two are supposed to be together or not as well. Good luck.

Do you not have any ownership papers??If you bought it used, anyway of tracking down the original owner. Sometimes there is a little plate on one of the tunnel sides. If you can find the VIN/SERIAL # goto your local DRIVER VEHICLE LICENSE offices and they could get it.

Its on the right hand side of the tunnel just above where your ankle would be, I believe its the last 2 digits that tells the year. or something like that. Can't remember 4 sure but I'm thinkin polaris puts the month and year and it's stamped in the aluminum. Sound right polaris fans?

That is correct to find the year but if the engine was replaced that wond be accurate.

it would still be correct even if the engine was changed out. the sled was still made in that particular year. just with a different engine. the question is-when was it made?
