Ok Hunters,
Anyone have any luck this year. I could have gotten a nice doe opening morning but my sons ears would still be ringing. I decided not to take the shot and save his ears.

I posted a new thread with some pics of our group's success. We did real well, but I had to settle for a doe. A lot of the guys got their first nice buck in 5-10 years, this year. Could this mean BIG SNOW on the way????? Just a thought.

could be I noticed that the does had a lot of fat in them so I hope that is a good sign. Looks like some real nice bucks have been taken.

Long time no post... As far as hunting is concerned, I didn't even have to set foot in the woods this year. One brother got an 8 point opening morning, other brother got a 7 point the next morning and dad brought home a nice 8 point from Indiana. Let's just say that the freezer is a bit on the full side... Good luck to all!

Check out the awesome treasure I found while hunting Saturday morning Nov. 24 on my in-law's land. I had been walking through the woods and stumbled upon the skeletal remains of a monster buck we called Hombre. We have had several of his photo's taken in 2006 with our game camera, however he had disappeared shortly after the photo's I have attached were taken and no one in the area knew what had happened to him. He must have died last year sometime as the bones were all picked clean. To my surprise the mice and squirrels had not chewed upon his antlers as they are in perfect shape. Hombre's 13 point rack gross scores at 166 with a 21" inside spread and his teeth aged him to be only a 4 year old buck.
I am blessed to have found this magnificent animal.:)

Yikes thats huge, we had some good success, i got a little buck my dad got LARGE doe (lots of fan on her too) and a nice size 7pt. Had a 6 jump my shot on the 16th jumped right as i pulled the trigger and barely nicked it so hopefully it made it Blood trail stopped with really thick blood so it appears to have been healing hope.
