Beginning in the early winter of 2008 I will be attempting to break the guinness world record of 7211 miles of sledding under 60 days, I need help on maps, logistics, opinions on what kind of sled I should use, Or just general opinions. I have been riding for 16 yrs. This has been a lifelong dream of mine and since I have come into some money I wanna make it happen or at least give it 1 hell of a shot. I'm looking to possibly ride from Quebec to Alaska, Let me know what you think

Hey CC08, you're gonna need a lot of folks backing you for that trip. i would want a convoy of help behind me. Sounds like a longer ride than what i'd wanna do in a season. Hope it all works out. You'll have to keep us posted on your status.
CC08, Good luck 2 ya, sounds like a good time. When I go sleddin its usually 150 to 200 miles a day, If you keep that pace for 60 days, you r gonna smash the old record. The downfall is that you will lose some serious coin having a new sled with 10,000 miles on it, unless somebody wants a genuine "world record" sled. I recommend a rev, your back will thank you for it!!

KEY: "60 riding days" not consecative... normal riding season... hard to believe 7,211 miles is the record, I did over 8000 miles 2 seasons ago, and know a few riders that put on more miles in a season then I do .

I was just thinking that as well Al. Heck, I've seen a few others put some HUGE miles on over some good snow seasons. I'd recommend a 4 stroke aggressive/touring ride for an attempt like that.
