Well, a mechanic i am not, so how do i know if my sled has power valves? I was looking at oils yesterday to find something a little less smoky and the salesman/tech. asked if i had power valves. Are there power valves on an '02SkiDoo MXZ 500 sport? I was looking at Amsoil Interceptor semi-syn. Thanks

1) remove the two bolts holding each cover on.
2) remove the two bolts that hold the valve. (allen wrench)
3) you can now just pull the valve out and clean them. ( make sure you do not install upside down.)

I assumed there was something on the heads that made it obvious if it had power power valves or not. I don't know that my valves need to be cleaned or not, everything seems just fine. But thanks for that advice too. I was just wondering if I could run the Amsoil Interceptor oil in it. My MXZ motor looks like the motor in your picture, are there power valves in your sled?

if your motor looks like the one in the picture then you do have exhaust valves on your sled so you will want to run synthetic oil in your sled not semi, if its a ski doo i would just run the doo oil in it but its your sled and your decision on what you run for oil....

I picked up a gallon of Amsoil Injector HP. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tips!
