Wondering if anyone is familiar with the resonator on a Polaris 500 XCSP exhaust system? I have an issue in that the pipe does not seat into the resonator and as a result, exhaust leaks under the hood. Another thing; I have a [extra] small pipe formed in a 90 degree angle that is not listed in the parts manual. Does anyone know if this small elbow is supposed to be a part of the resonator? My assumption is that the weld broke and this is what the pipe use to seat against.
..Looking for ideas to fix my exhaust short of purchasing a new resonator for a couple hundred bucks. If that elbow does belong in the resonator, my plan is to see if a buddy and/or a muffler shop can weld it back together.
