Minocqua, Wisconsin

Trail Report For: Minocqua - 03/20/2014

Trail Report For: Minocqua

Reported By: Tom Bird – The CROSS COUNTRY CRUISERS

Date of Report: 03/20/2014

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 24+

Area Report: We only got about 3 inches out of the last storm. They are calling for 2-4 on Friday. The overall grade is FAIR to GOOD. With that said – there are some really good areas in the woods and some plain bad spots in town. We will most likely groom out this next storm. Also be aware that many of the lake markers have been removed – Big St Germain and Lake Katherine – I know of for sure. Stay on lake trails as there is a ton of slush off trails. Ride with caution as we have late season conditions out there. Have fun and be safe….

The Magic of Winter – Sled the Vast, White Northland

Thanks to the hard work of our many snowmobile clubs and volunteers, an extensive network of professionally groomed trails – more than 1600 miles – are maintained. A magnificent natural environment with 1300 glacial lakes and 233,000 acres of public forest lands provide a perfect setting for snowmobilers in the Minocqua – Arbor Vitae – Woodruff Area. Take off in any direction to sled on the spacious and well marked routes throughout the forests. The locale features a number of trail side pit stops – step inside, enjoy the atmosphere, but please be responsible. Don’t drink and drive !
