"Northern Bayfield County"

We had some good riding this past week considering the sub-par snow for mid-February. Conditions will vary greatly especially closer to the lake. Maybe our area will finally get a big dump of fresh snow this weekend.

For my detailed report, click on "Site Navigation Map" at the top of this page, then click on "Wisconsin" then "Bayfield"

Conditions right now are by far the best of the year with the 8-12" we got last weekend.

The NWS is calling for 12-24" with blizzard or near blizzard conditions late Thursday through Friday evening. Wind gust could exceed 50mph in the Duluth area. Nasty.

We ended up with 25.4 inches. And around 36" on the side of the forest roads and many trails.

Makes for some awesome riding especially on the forest roads. Nothing had been plowed and very little was groomed as of Sunday afternoon.Once the groomers make the full circuit, conditions will be excellent.
