"Another VS topic..."

Alright heres the line ups and im hopping to get video of each of these races this season so ill post links if i do

first line up is A 1995 ZRT 800 with a commet clutch kit and picks other than that its stock. VS a brand spankin new Z1 jag I dont know if its gona have a picked track or not but for kicks lets say it
does. lets say this is a quarter mile race.

second line up is a 660ft T660 vs the same ZRT800 I've seen those t660's pull and when that turbo kicks it really kicks so in 660ft I dont know about this one.

So whats what is the old cat gona take it or are the new boys gona show it up?

Fence Post I had my 1996 800 triple at the radar run in Bent Camp last Feb. My sled is stock except for 96 picks on the track. I di 97.8 radar run 1/4 mile long I thought that was pretty good for a 11 year old Artic Cat. Fence Post

yeah no doubt I just put a clutch kit on the zrt last season and man does that thing pull and pull right past 100 easy, I did a little more research on the z1 and it looks like I should have him beat pretty easy, from what i read the z1 is only at around 125 hp and its 100 pounds heavier than the zrt witch from what I read has right around 150 hp so i think i should have that race.

ZRT would eat'em up. If you are still running the original comet clutch I would recommend replacing it with one of the new Cat 9tower as the originals are prone to grenading. You can get the new style clutch used(swap meets or bone yards) or new (hi-performance engineering sells them with no weights or springs so you can set it up as you wish) When the old ones go I have seen them destroy the bellypan and sometimes the hood, which can be expensive repairs. My $.02

The Jag might pull it for a bit off the line (they have pretty good low-end torque), but the ZRT will eventually pull away. Those Zerts were really heavy (which is why they get smoked in 1000 ft. by many of the newer 600 and 700 twins), but since all 3 of those sleds are similar weights (very heavy), they are pretty even in that regard. The ZRT should easily have the best top speed.
