"V3 reed valves"

I own a 2003 F5 and just finish rebuilding the top end of the engine (new pistons, rings, pins and such) and at the same time I bought V3 reed valves. I was wondering if I now have to dink with the jet settings on the carbs or if it is just something that you simply insert and go?
