"95 vmax 600??"

Have this 95 vmax 600 that I bought new in 95 and my first new sled I ever bought. Could never get a decent trade in on it in 2001 when I bought a new sled to replace and have kept it in the back of my garage since. I have bought 3 new sleds since 2001 and have bought my wife her new revs but the other day when I was doing some garage cleaning I seen it in the back with things stacked up on it and pulled it out. It hasn't been running since about 2002 when a buddy rode it for a day. I got it running again and I never really stuck much time into this sled because I rode it 2 winters and bought a ski-doo then in 01 went back to Yamaha. I never really liked the ride of the sled and just thought it was slow. But know I would like to toy with the thing alittle. So my question is has anyone had one of these that they built up and what did you use. I was thinking first of a new camoplast track with a 1" lug and a different set of skis but have heard of people putting on srx ski's and such please help me hop the thing up. I quess after having my new sleds and my vintage sleds now 7 of them I would stop but I love this stuff so have any parts or ideas please let me know. Thanks

Ebay has a set of pipes for the 600 twin, which will pep that sucker right up. 35-72 in about 2seconds from 5700-7200rpm.
Ski-doo flex skis bolt on with a couple spacers and and small piece machined out about the size of a dime on the one mount. They work great too.

One not on the pipes Make sure you jet them correctly and take the time to get it right.

You change the headgasket to a smaller one with i believe 2 of the 3 layers (have not tried this mod but you can google it to get more info)

Also if you will be riding it on the trails and such you can swap the rear suspension with a Pro-action out of a newer yami, We just swapped an 96XT suspension in my dads to match my 96's
