for every sled runner. Whether you prefer winding trails through
deep green cedar forests or open fields under a clear sky, there
are sights and opportunities everywhere on our trails. All along
the routes there are inns and lodges with friendly folk and satisfying
menus. Come join us in our winter wonderland and share the refreshing
ride on these great trails.
Here
in Langlade County you will find routes that will take you through
hardwood forests, through miles of pines and fir. You will speed
along frozen lakes, and past hidden springponds. The hills and moraines
provide vistas and views of pure white snow and deep azure sky.
From the littel used Parrish Hills trails to the popular runs through
Pickerel-Pearson, through the spectacular beauty of the Wolf River
and the winding Kettlebowl run, our trails provide variety, fun
and scenery that can't be beat.
From
Langlade County, you can travel to all the major trail systems in
the northern part of the state, including trails in Marathon, Lincoln,
Onieda Counties, to Mole Lake, Crandon, Wabeno, Lakewood and many
other areas.
Antigo,
which is located in south central Langlade County, is a great place
to start your riding adventure. Numerous connecting trails enable
snowmobilers to travel in virtually every direction to experience
the varied scenery and terrain this two country region has to offer.
A journey on Corridor 13 guides riders north of Antigo through the
quaint communities of Summit Lake and Elcho, before reaching the
Oneida County border.
Corridor
18 takes a trip east from Antigo to Langlade and White Lake through
impressive forests and rolling hills teeming with wildlife and beautiful
scenery. Along this journey. Corridor 9 intersects with Corridor
18, giving snowmobilers the option to go south to Phlox and Shawano
County or north to Lily and Forest County. When traveling the north
route, Corridor 16 connects in just north of Lily to guide snowmobilers
west to the well-known Pickerel and Pearson areas. Throughout this
region an extensive network of impressive, well groomed trails traverse
the area offering riders an endless choice of exciting destinations.
North
and east of the Pickerel-Pearson area, the fun filled Lumberjack
Memorial Trails take riders on a fantastic journey into majestic
forests. While on this adventure, the communities of Wabeno, Laona
and Crandon welcome riders to stop and enjoy their hospitality while
touring the winter wonderland. Another favorite ride in the area
is the 100 Mile Sno Safari. This exciting journey takes adventurers
deep into the snowblanketed Northwoods wilderness to observe the
splendor this area beholds. These two trail systems provide nearly
250 miles of the finest riding snowmobilers could ask for.
Near
Argonne and Giles the Three Lakes Trail leads riders north to the
Headwaters Wilderness Area passing through the heart of the majestic
Nicolet National Forest which is filled with wildlife and serene
natural beauty. In northern Forest County the Brule River Trails
meander north through thickly blanketed forests to Alvin, Nelma
and into Michigans Upper Peninsula or east into Florence County.
Forest
and Langlade Counties offer snowmobilers an excellent selection
of dining options along with many cozy lodging accommodations. These
amenities coupled with excellent trails that take you through some
of Wisconsins most beautiful wooded terrain the Northwoods
has to offer is an unforgettable experience.
