In
Boulder Junction, the local snowmobile club offers some of the finest
riding in the mid-west. The club reports that they've done a lot
of work, grading and brushing trails throughout the off-season,
so riders will find an even better system than before.
The
130 miles of trail in and around the Boulder Junction area are constantly
groomed throughout the season, to keep them in tip-top shape. The
trails are connected to hundreds of miles of Vilas County trails,
and thousands of miles of Northern Wisconsin trails. It's no accident
that our area continually wins awards for best snowmobile destination.
It is also worth noting that Boulder Junction lies far enough north
that we are well inside the U.P. snow-belt. We often receive lake
effect snow that communities to our south do not receive.
The
Boulder Junction Snowmobile Club trail boss reports that once we
have a stable base down, all Boulder Junction trails will be groomed
at least four (4) days per week, throughout the season. Some of
the busier trails like the south trail and the spurs closer into
town, may even be groomed daily, depending on usage.
