Took our annual trip up to Valhalla's Pub'N'Grub. Left Moose Lake 21N to 3N, all nice except for traffic on Wednesday?? Took 8W to 70 to 75N to 15N onto Grandview, then 63S to Drummond opps, was an awesome trail though so no biggie. Then took 6 To Delta, 4N to 2W, 21N to 31N to 13 to 19N this trail is called the Iron River Trail to Valhalla, then finally the Pub'N'Grub. 102 miles up and needed gas, make sure you have a credit card with, that is the only way to get gas there! Had lunch and back on the trail. Took 19S to 13 to 31S to 63S stopped in Moquah to check out the Plywood Palace (closed) but a sight to see! Then 63S thru Mason less snow this way and bumpy. Into Grandview then 15S, 75S, 70E to 8E to 3S into Sawyer County. Stopped at Red Deer on Lost Land Lake #121, thank you Norm & Linda for the fresh popcorn. Crossed LLL 3S to 5 to Moose Lake. 195 miles for the day. Most trails were good to very good, it started getting bumpy at the end of the day and more snow to the North and west. Saw 1 groomer on the trail Bayfield Co. A lot of traffic for a Wednesday. Thank you Johnny From RayJay's for coming along.
Ride Safe!

Snow, snow, snow!! The Hayward area has between 16" and 24" of powder on the ground, and with another winter blast expected to arrive in the next 72 hours, this winter is shaping up to be the best in years.
Trails in Sawyer County are in a pristine state for you to explore. Groomers have been working the trails around the clock, and with the new snow expected any minute, there is no better time to make it to Hayward than over the next two weeks. |

Wisconsin - Snowmobiling Information |

Almost
every snowmobiler in the Midwest is aware of the fantastic winter
playground found near the Hayward area of Sawyer County and the
Cable area of Southern Bayfield County. Hundreds of miles of wilderness
trails provide tours through this areas natural beauty, beckoning
riders to return year after year.
The
Hayward Lakes region with its rolling hills, hardwood forests, tall
pine stands and pristine lakes serves as the hub of the Sawyer County
trail system. A journey south from Hayward on Trail 31 takes riders
across the frozen Lac Court Oreilles and along Sand Lake before
joining the Tuscobia State Trail just east of Birchwood.
This
well-known Tuscobia State Trail is also listed as Corridor 10 on
the maps. It crosses Sawyer County from east to west passing through
Draper, Loretta, Winter and Radisson, as it makes its journey across
northern Wisconsin stretching from Michigan to Minnesota.
Traveling
southeast from Hayward, snowmobilers are treated to a tour of the
undeveloped Lake Chippewa Flowage, Wisconsins largest wilderness
lake. This focal point of Sawyer County was created in 1923 by a
power company dam and has more than 17,000 acres of water with 140
islands and more than 200 miles of natural shoreline.
Trails
east of Hayward meander their way towards Clam Lake. Along the way
a favorite place to take a break is at the Ghost Hill Scenic Overlook
located on a short spur trail off Trail 21 north of Ghost Lake.
Dont forget your camera to take those memorable trip photos.
Trails
lead in all directions in this scenic Chequamegon National Forest
region offering unlimited choices. When staying in this area, snowmobiles
are the only transportation you will need since almost everything
is accessible via snowmobile. Excellent lodging with roaring fireplaces
and great food can be found trailside through out this region.
