VILAS COUNTY TRAILS OFFICIALLY CLOSED AT MIDNIGHT, 3/19/09. HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD SEASON AND THAT WE SEE YOU IN 09/10!
OUR SNOWMOBILE SAFETY CLASSS IS TENTATIVELY SET FOR DEC. 29 & 30/09, 9 A.M. TO 3 P.M. YOU CAN RESERVE A SPOT AT vettetime1@yahoo.com ANYTIME. We have room for thirty and the class fills quickly.

MANY THANKS TO SUNRISE LODGE who once again hosted their snowmobile benefit breakfast, December 13th & 14th. Proceeds go to the club of your choice: Land O Lakes, Phelps, Conover & Watersmeet.
OUR SNOWMOBILE SAFETY CLASS is now history, but it was a great class with outstanding students. Thanks for your participation! Many thanks to SUNRISE LODGE & BLACK OAK INN FOR PROVIDING THE LUNCH EACH DAY! IT'S NOT TOO EARLY TO MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR NEXT SEASON'S CLASS, TENTATIVELY SET FOR DECEMBER 29TH & 30TH, 2009.
Buck Janny of BLACK OAK INN and Butch Brosseau wil be conducting our Big Cash Raffle again this year with $6,000.00 in TEN CASH PRIZES. $3,000.00 1st prize, 2nd thru 10th prizes:$1,000.00; $750.00; $500.00; $250.00; and Five $100.00 prizes. The drawing will be February 14th, after the Radar Run at BENT'S CAMP.
Don't forget the FROSTY WEEK END CELEBRATION, President's Day Week End, Feb. 14th thru the 16th. Check out the many special offers from area map advertizers throughout the holiday weekend. The Radar Run, Chill Feed and Cash Raffle drawing, is Saturday, February 14th, at BENT'S CAMP. Bring your Sled and join the fun, food and entertainment. You're invited to our monthly FROSTY CLUB MEETINGS. They are the first Wednesday of the month, (October-April)except January, 6 P.M. at the Land O Lakes Town Hall. We meet for an hour, then adjourn to a local establishment for dinner and social activities. Come join us, get acquainted and share the fun. January's meeting, 21ST, at THE LOOSE MOOSE, is our Christms Party & White Elephant gift exchange. Please join us, RSVP @ 715-547-8307 OR 3298. Winter
snowmobiling excitement runs rampant throughout northern Wisconsins
Vilas County. Hundreds of lakes and acres of state and national
forest lands provide a winter wonderland for enthusiastic riders.
Land
O Lakes, located on the border of Wisconsin and Michigans
Upper Peninsula provides an excellent home base for your winter
excursions. Trails to the north connect with the serene trail network
of the Upper Peninsula. Corridor 6 guides riders across the northern
section of Vilas County from Phelps at the eastern border, through
Land OLakes as it continues on to Presque Isle.
Land
O' Lakes offers the pure enthusiast miles of groomed trails to the
north in Upper Michigan and short trips to various Wisconsin towns
to the south, east, and west. Gas, rentals, sales, and meals, are
within minutes of each lodging facility The snowmobiler can ride
from any lodging location without the need of the vehicle that brought
them to Land O Lakes.
Annual
snow fall generally between 100 and 250 inches 35 miles of groomed
trails that interconnect with Phelps, Conover, Eagle River, Starlake
and Sayner, as well as the U.P. of Michigan Many of the areas water
falls are accessible by sled Park your vehicle and leave the riding
to us.
