| News and Events: |
Many things make snowmobiling fun in Ashland & Bayfield County: the breathtaking beauty of our 640,693 acres of public land; the satisfaction of spending time enjoying the winter landscape with friends and family. Know your machine's capabilities and don't push beyond them and remember speed is not the measure of snowmobiling fun. Ease up on the throttle, especially near other machines, people, trees and animals. Stay to the right of the trail, maintain control, never drink and ride and always yield to grooming equipment and logging trucks.
The 2007-08 Bayfield County snowmobile maps can be picked up at area businesses or call 800-472-6338. One mile of Trail #25 north of Top O'the Morn and Shady Oaks to Iron River was inadvertently omitted on the map. Happy trails! |
