Area Report:

G’day fellow sled heads. So, after battling the flu these last few days, I was able to get out do some grooming for St. Germain’s neighbor, the Sayner Barnstormers last night. I wasn’t exactly happy with what I saw for St. Germain or Sayner. Besides the dirt messin’ with the usual high traffic areas, there was a fair share of dirt patches deep in the woods. Granted there are many trails still in good ridable condition with both St. G and Sayner. Unless we get some fresh powder soon, and that’s not looking good, the best riding of the season may be behind us. Last weekend was not kind to us. Many road trails are down to pavement and parts of some lakes, i.e.- Big Saint, were opening up by some shorelines. Cooler temps this week have kept what we have left pretty solid, but another unwelcome warm up by the weekend should further deteriorate the conditions. No notable snow happening anytime soon. My advice, c’mon up and ride, but know what you’re in for. Bring extra carbides and expect possible overheating. On a sad note; 3 separate fatalities happened last weekend up here.  I do wish to send my condolences out to the families who lost their loved ones these past few days. And I beg all of you to please ride safe!!! These hot and cold temps are an icy nightmare at night. God Bless!!
