Trail Report – : St. Germain, Wisconsin – January 21, 2020

Reporter:Lindsey Martini
Trail Conditions: Excellent
Snow Cover: At least a foot in most areas
Date of Report: January 21, 2020
Area Report:

I spent all weekend on the trails and overall, it was great!! The day run was about as good as it gets. The early evening ride back was very bumpy, with large moguls in certain areas. After a night of grooming, the trails were back to excellent condition on Sunday. Even the road trails were holding up fine with a solid base of ice and snow. Big and Little St. Germain, Plum and Star lakes are marked and fairly smooth. The forecast calls for warmer than average temps and only light precipitation, but the trails should be in great shape for the upcoming weekend. Stay on the trails and stay safe.

News and Reports:

Unfortunately The Hiller Radar Runs have been cancelled this year. The announcement came out yesterday. The ice on Little St. Germain isn’t quite where they were hoping to be at this point, combined with warmer temps forcasted for the few days, have raised safety concerns for the event.
