Reporter:snobuddies

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 2′

Date of Report: December 27, 2019

Area Report:

Trails are in good to fair conditions. They are still soft and some corners were down to dirt last night. We were able to get out and groom last night which we hadn’t been able to the past 2 nights because of temperatures and some rain . We also have some more warm weather and rain coming so there may be a few nights we will not be able to groom coming up this weekend.  A portion of trail 12 will be closed as the swamps behind the cemetery are still open water. The last I heard Buckatobon and pioneer were still not marked and unsafe but North Twin is marked. Please be safe out there and remember be respectful of your fellow riders . Please ride safe and only as fast as conditions will allow you.  Ride Right – Ride Safe.  Thank you your trail boss Chad.

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 18-24 inches

Date of Report: December 27, 2019

Area Report:

Trail report for December 27, 2019 – Fair to Good. The snow on our trail system has been melting the last few days and is expected to continue to melt over the next few days. With the increase of traffic this weekend and adding warm temp with rain on Saturday night the trails could degrade quickly. Our groomers have been and will be out in the middle of the night when the temps are below the 30’s to groom and do what we can do to make the trails better. Snow is expected Sunday night with cooler temps early next week. Please pray for more snow and subzero temps. Please use extreme caution in all areas! Stay on marked trails!  Remember to be safe, ride right, and enjoy the ride.

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 10-15”

Date of Report: December 27, 2019

Area Report:

Our trail system is open with the exception of the trail noted below. We are experiencing a warm up and the trails have plenty of snow on them to handle it. They are a bit slushy in areas. Grooming will be done as temperatures allow. We need some cold weather. Road routes are becoming bare closer to town. Snow is in the forecast for the next few days. That will help.

Alternate trail 13 to sugar camp from rice lake road to sugar camp trails is closed until further notice. It is not safe with running water in the swamp.

Swamps, some are good, some are bad. There are a few that we still cannot groom yet. They are safe to ride, or we would have closed that trail.

Lakes, they are not marked and will not be marked until they are safe.

If you come across a tree that has fallen or something that you may see unsafe, please message us on Facebook. Please try and get the trail or the tin(trail identification number) that are located at all intersections.

Please be safe out there, it has been a horrific fall getting the trail system open this year with all the storms. We have thousands of hours getting trails ready for your safety and enjoyment.

Don’t forget this Saturday December 28th starting at noon is our chili cook off and meat raffles at pine isle. Hope to see you there. $6.00 donation gets you all the chili you can eat.

If you like our trails, be sure to put a few dollars in our donation boxes in your favorite establishment, if you see something you don’t like, message us on Facebook and let us know, we will do what we can to fix it.

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 5 to 6 on the trail 12 to 15 off the trail

Date of Report: December 27, 2019

Area Report:

Temps in the 30s and sun have really hurt our great snow base that we started the season with. High traffic areas have especially been hurt. We are continuing to groom and as always will do the best we can with what we have to work with.

Many area lakes have been marked. Plum and Star will NOT be marked for at least 10 to 14 days. There are too many spots that are too thin. As always DO NOT cross any lake that is not clearly marked. Even if you see tracks – if you don’t see markers DON’T CROSS!!!
