We had another awesome weekend of riding on the Iron Snowshoe Trails.

I am not sure if Mother Nature is blessing us or punishing us, but BRING IT ON!!  After receiving 15+ inches of snow last week, we added another 3 inches last night, and looking at 9 to 12 tomorrow!  More blessings coming the end of this week also!  Our groomers have been out non-stop to keep up with all this snow.

Trails are in very good condition today.  Our groomers will be out every day/night after this next snow (Tuesday).

Stop by the Crooked Lake Fish-O-Rama this weekend.  We would love to see you all.

Happy…Happy…Happy Trails!!!

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Snow Cover: 14-16 inches

Date of Report: February 11, 2019

Area Report:

Trail report for February 11, 2019– Trails are very good. With all the added snow we received the groomers have some snow in the drags to work with. Over the weekend we had very heavy traffic. We have more snow expected tomorrow morning.  Six to ten inches is anticipated. With all the snow the trails can degrade very quickly. The groomers will be out tonight and tomorrow to lay out a nice trail. It is presently below zero and at that temp the trail stiffens and firms up very nice to keep a flatten trail longer. The temps are expected to be in the teens for the next few days. The corners and other areas remain icy. Please use caution. The groomers are out there all times of the night and day to make a more enjoyable ride for you. Give them a thumbs up when you see them. Remember to be safe, ride right, and enjoy the ride.

SNO-EAGLES TRAILS OPEN!
Trails Very Good

February 11 2019 5:58am – 6 – High 23

More SNOW yesterday that started mid afternoon into last night. More west than east.  1-3 inches. Another big SNOW is on the way around midnight tonight into Tuesday.  Weather guys are forecasting inch or 2 early followed by 5-8 inches throughout the rest of the day.  So trails will move to Excellent!

As reported yesterday, everything is SNOW covered.  Some chop & a few areas with bumps.  Not as much snirt at the road crossings.  Snowbanks are really high at road & driveway crossings.  Noticed riders not either stopping or slowing up at driveway crossing.  Dangerous. With the deep SNOW not as much slip from the hard ice base.  Few blown out corners.  Otherwise, pretty darn good!

Heading into some great riding temps.  Today 23. Tuesday 19. Wednesday 23. Thursday 21.  Forecast for single digits at night but no below zero.

EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Stay by the reflective orange barrels.

Been mentioning this all season:

Sno-Eagles Country has 2 areas that have one-way trails.  10E is a one-way trail from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart.  The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area.  Clearly marked with DO NOT ENTER signs.  Plus trail signs are backwards if you are going the wrong way.

Thanks for THINKING SNOW!!!  Are you riding?  If not why?

See ya on the trails!
