Area Report:

The trails held up well through the warmup last weekend and most of the week has been cold. There’s still a lot of good riding especially in the woods.

Namakagon: Our trails held up very well thru our last warm-up! Trails were all groomed on Monday 2/24. Being touched up today Wed 2/26 and should be groomed again on Friday. Excellent Condition!

And we’ve been having flurries all morning! Not adding up to much but every little bit counts!

Barnes Barnestormers: Barnes trails have held up well, still have a good base and all have been groomed. Due to the warm weather thin spots are showing up in corners and hillsides exposed to the sun. Road routes are thin and with the warm weekend coming may become difficult to navigate. It’s all good out in the woods though, come ride while you still can.

Frosty’s Vintage Riders (Mason, Delta, Iron River): Trails are freshly groomed and still in good shape, road routes are bare with the exception of 1/2 inch of snow that fell last night.

Washburn Valhallers: Both Trail #13 North and South out of Washburn remain in excellent condition. Both will be regroomed for the weekend.

Trails in the Vahalla area held up very well we still have a very good base and trails are smooth. Re-route on Trail 31 starting on the north end of Trail 63 we are utilizing fire Road 429 Watch for signs. Also the logging operation north of Trail 1 on trail 31, the trail is down to ice and mud so use extreme caution.

South Shore (Port Wing, Herbster, Cornucopia): All South Shore trails 1, 40, 41 will be groomed by Thursday and held up well with the warm temps! Any roads routes/ logging activity are not so good. Any fresh snow will help.
