Area Report:

Trails in Bayfield County continue to be in excellent condition. We received a bit of fresh snow this week, quite a bit in the north, and there is more snow in the forecast for the northern part of the county for Thursday and Friday. Should be more great riding this weekend!

Namakagon Trail Groomers: We received about 6-8″ of new snow last week from Wed – Sat. Have about a 12″+ base. Trails are in excellent condition. They were groomed on Monday 1/20 and Wednesday 1/22. Also groomed thru Bibon Swamp on 1/22. Hoping to get back out again on Friday.

Barnes Barnestormers: Barnes area trails are in excellent condition, they all will have been groomed twice by Friday noon. Enjoy the ride.

Drummond SnoJacks: All Drummond area trails are in excellent condition. Recent snow has added to the base and is now >16″. There was heavy use of the trails last week but all will be groomed again before the weekend. Caution still advised for the rough section of trail 63 towards Grand View at Arne Carlson Road.

Frosty’s Vintage Riders: Mason/Delta/Iron River all in excellent condition, freshly groomed, west delta road use caution as it has turned icy underneath

Iron River: All trails in Iron River area have been groomed (Trail #3 from Iron River will get groomed Thursday) we are starting to get some icy spots on hills. But all is good.

Washburn Valhallers: Trail #13 from Washburn to Valhalla was fresh-groomed 1/20 and is in excellent condition.  We will be re-grooming Trail #13 North and South by the weekend and both trails are expected to be in excellent condition.  We still have 1-block section of trail #13 south blocked off due to deep water and ice.  There is an easy go around that is being partially groomed.

All the trails in the Valhalla area are in excellent condition. With 18 inches of fresh snow this week. Currently there is utility work and logging operation on Trail 51 so use caution in that area signs will be posted.

South Shore (Port Wing, Herbster, Cornucopia): Trail 1 was groomed Wednesday. Trails 40 & 41 plus 19 will be done Thursday. All trails awesome.
